This contemporary villa, renovated in 2019, stands 100 metres from the sea and 500 metres from the centre of Sutivan, on the northwest coast of Brac, the highest of the Croatian islands. Its 320 square metres of living space are spread over three levels, a basement, ground floor and first floor, on a plot of 400 square metres, and the house sleeps six guests, with room for two more on sofa beds.
Sutivan has roots stretching back some 1,700 years, and its Renaissance estates, baroque palaces and stone Dalmatian houses still frame a calm, unhurried way of life beside pebble beaches, pine trees and clear water. Taverns and restaurants serve traditional Dalmatian cooking, and a café bar lies 100 metres away, while shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, a bank and the marina are all around 500 metres off. The mild climate and a network of trails have made the village a favoured cycling destination, and it is a natural base for exploring the island: the Golden Horn beach, inland restaurants and the desert of Blaca are all a short drive away. Supetar is 8 kilometres away, the ferry and tennis courts 6 kilometres, and the airport 40 kilometres.
The first thing to catch the eye is the heated infinity pool on the ground floor terrace, which overlooks the Brac Channel and the city of Split. Sunbeds line the sun-warmed deck, and an outdoor shower, a lounge set, a stone barbecue and an outdoor dining table complete the scene, suited equally to a morning coffee while planning the day and a dinner under the stars.
Inside on the ground floor, large glass walls join the living room to the terrace, so the outdoors seems to flow in while you rest on custom-made sofas and armchairs in front of the satellite TV. A few steps lead up to the well-appointed kitchen and an indoor dining table for eight. Smooth lines and carefully chosen pieces give the rooms warmth and a genuine sense of home.
The basement is given over to a fitness space with a treadmill, exercise bike, boxing bag, weights and a table tennis table, together with a red light therapy station.
The first floor is reserved for three spacious bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and its own en suite shower room, a quiet retreat when complete peace is needed. Two of the bedrooms also have a convertible single sofa bed.
The villa is fully air-conditioned and has Wi-Fi and private parking. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner stove, extractor hood, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, kettle, blender, mixer and juicer, along with utensils and cutlery. A safe, washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner and hairdryer are also provided, as are a baby cot and high chair. The price includes a welcome package, a villa manager, laundry service, initial, final and weekly cleaning, and a change of towels and bed linen once a week or on request.
