On the western coast of Brač, in a small and quiet bay outside the harbour town of Milna, Sea Horizon sits just above the Adriatic with open views across the water. The villa is about 3.5 km from the centre of Milna, and the beach lies around 20 metres away. Approximately 15 steps lead down from the courtyard to the waterfront. Within reach of the house are shops and a café bar at about 2.5 km, restaurants at 2.6 km, and a doctor, dentist and pharmacy at around 3 km. The ferry, the marina and the catamaran connection are each about 3.1 km away. Brač is linked to Split by ferry, and the airport is 47.1 km from the villa.
Milna's long maritime history is visible everywhere. Under Venetian rule it was called "Valle di mille navi", the bay of a thousand ships, and its sheltered inlets still draw boaters sailing through central Dalmatia. It is regarded as the most beautiful and best-protected port on Brač, and its two well-equipped marinas cater to the most demanding sailors. The waterfront is lined with stone houses, fine examples of local vernacular architecture, beneath a Baroque church with a typical Dalmatian bell tower and an interior hung with paintings by Venetian artists. Shipbuilding once defined the town, and the bracera, the traditional Dalmatian sailing vessel, was first built here. Milna is now a lively resort and a favourite nautical port. Its tables offer fresh fish, fine olive oil and local wines, and the water invites diving, sailing, fishing and other sea sports. For those who like to explore, there are the nearby coves, especially the bay of Lučice, the little port of Bobovišća and the village of Ložišće. The islet of Mrduja guards the entrance to the harbour.
The villa offers 282 m² of living space on a 1,500 m² plot and is arranged over three floors for up to 12 guests in six bedrooms with five bathrooms. The terrace centres on a 36 m² private infinity pool that seems to run straight into the horizon. Six sun loungers line its edge, and a garden swing and an outdoor shower complete the poolside. Steps lead from the terrace to an outdoor dining area for six beside a barbecue, an easy setting for grilling Dalmatian specialities. A few more steps towards the water bring you to the villa's private entrance to the sea. Sun loungers on the seafront platform in front of the house are reserved for guests alone. A kayak is included for use from here, and a SUP board can be arranged at extra cost. The price also includes sea mooring for a boat up to 10 metres, a table tennis table and private parking at the property. Greenery softens the courtyard throughout.
The ground floor has its own separate entrance and is reached from the outdoor terrace. It holds a spacious living room with comfortable furniture and an LCD TV, a dining table for six and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. Both the living and dining areas open onto a terrace with sea views and the surrounding nature, furnished with a table and six chairs. Two bedrooms on this level each have a private bathroom with shower.
The first and second floors are connected by an internal staircase. On the first floor, a second modern, fully equipped kitchen sits beside a dining table for six and a living room with comfortable furniture, an LCD TV and a fireplace. The living and dining rooms open onto a balcony with an outdoor dining table for ten and a seating area, a natural place to gather in the evening. Two bedrooms on this floor, one with a queen-size bed and the other with a king-size bed, share a bathroom with shower.
The second floor holds two bedrooms with twin beds. One has an en suite bathroom with shower. The other has a private bathroom with a bathtub set beneath a skylight, so you can watch the stars while you bathe. Both bedrooms open onto a balcony with outdoor furniture that looks out over the Adriatic. Across the villa, the sleeping arrangements comprise three twin-bedded rooms, one queen-bed room and two king-bed rooms.
The villa is air-conditioned throughout and has Wi-Fi internet and satellite TV. Each of the two kitchens is supplied with kitchen utensils and has a stove, oven, range hood, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. A washing machine, dryer, hairdryer and ironing equipment are also provided. Families travelling with young children can request a baby cot and a high chair. Bed linen and towels are changed every seven days, and the pool is maintained every three days. For guests who want more, a private chef with a waiter, boat and car hire, guided excursions and private taxi or speedboat transfers can be arranged on request for an additional charge.
