Set in the village of Petrača, above the old settlement of Mlini in Župa Dubrovačka, this modern villa offers a peaceful and private base just 8.1 km from the historic heart of Dubrovnik and 500 metres from the sea. The location is well suited to larger groups or two families travelling together, and everyday conveniences are close by. The bus station is 200 metres away, shops, restaurants, a café bar and a pharmacy are about 300 metres away, and a marina lies 1 km away. Dubrovnik Airport is 20 km from the villa.
Mlini takes its name from the mills once built on its abundant springs, and in the 15th century boats carried drinking water from here to Dubrovnik. The coast is lined with lush vegetation, clear water and a series of beaches, mostly pebble with a few sandy stretches, many with shallow entrances that suit children. Nearby Srebreno is good for sunbathing and shopping, and diving, windsurfing and other water sports are popular along this shore. Dubrovnik is less than a 15-minute drive away. There you can stroll the sunlit Stradun, walk the imposing walls and explore the ornate palaces of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, a city that works as both a living museum and a lively stage. Boat excursions run to islands such as Mljet, Lopud and Koločep. In the evenings the old town offers a wide choice of restaurants and the well-known Revelin club for music lovers.
Renovated in 2019, the villa offers 250 m² of living space on a plot of 2,691 m². The private outdoor pool lies at the front of the house, framed by modern two-person sun loungers, sunshades and lounge sets for long afternoons in the sun. Pool and beach towels are provided. The terrace has a seating area, a dining set and a barbecue for outdoor meals. Elsewhere on the grounds, a children's playground, a badminton court and planted greenery add to the sense of space and privacy.
From the garden, a glass wall opens into the air-conditioned ground floor. Here a kitchen with a bar and dining table flows into a modern living room furnished with a brightly coloured sofa, armchairs, satellite TV and a fireplace. The space is filled with fresh, natural light. This level also has one bedroom with a king-size bed and an en suite shower room, as well as a separate toilet.
The first floor holds the remaining four bedrooms. Each has a king-size bed, an en suite bathroom with shower, satellite TV and its own balcony looking over the pool and the surrounding greenery. The villa sleeps 10 guests in its five bedrooms, and two fold-up beds in the living room allow for two more. A baby cot and a high chair are also available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, hood, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker, along with utensils, dishes, cutlery, glasses and tea towels. Throughout the house there is air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and the villa also has a DVD player, a stereo surround sound system, a washing machine, a hairdryer and a safe. Private parking is available at the property.
