The villa stands at the very entrance to Orebić, a port town on the southern coast of the Pelješac peninsula in eastern Dalmatia. It sits just one metre from the sea and from Trstenica, a long pebble beach, while the centre of town, with its restaurants and café bars, lies 500 metres away. The marina is 1 km from the property, the ferry 1.5 km and the nearest airport 130 km.
Orebić rests beneath Sveti Ilija hill, in a landscape of pines, cypresses, olives, almonds, agaves and wildflowers, with sandy beaches such as Trstenik and numerous bays of clear water along the coast. Above the town, the Franciscan monastery and the Church of Our Lady of the Angels look out over the islands of Mljet and Korčula and the Pelješac shoreline. Higher still, St. Elijah's hill rises to 910 metres, home to mouflon and other wildlife, and the archaeological site of Gornja Nakovana preserves traces of prehistoric life. Organised excursions, hiking tours and visits to local wine cellars are available, along with tennis, football and sailing, and the marina offers 200 berths for boats and yachts. Oysters and mussels are local specialities, and summer evenings bring musical performances, folklore events and Dalmatian nights to the waterfront.
The house offers 300 square metres of interior space, renovated in 2019, arranged as a central section flanked by a left and a right wing, and it accommodates 16 guests. Its grounds extend over 12,000 square metres and are planted with rich Mediterranean vegetation, including hundred-year-old palm trees, olives, figs, roses and many flowering species. Illuminated walkways connect the villa, the pool, the beach and the sea, and from the entrance well-kept paths lead to a parking plateau with five spaces and to a recreation area on a concrete plateau. The large parking area on the property is protected and private.
On an elevated part of the grounds, the private swimming pool is surrounded by deckchairs and sunshades for lounging in the sun. Beside it, a summer hacienda holds a summer kitchen, barbecue, wine bar and dining table, making it a natural setting for long meals outdoors. Several walkways lead from the house to three gazebos furnished for relaxation, and onwards to the pebble beach, where deck chairs and beach towels are provided. Pool towels are also supplied.
The central part of the villa is the social heart of the house. It holds a fully equipped kitchen, two guest toilets, a large dining room with a table for 16 and a living room with a fireplace, sofa, armchairs and satellite TV. Three furnished terraces open from here, each with a view of the sea, and telescopes allow guests to study the starry sky after dark.
The right wing contains four air-conditioned double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and a terrace furnished for relaxing. The first of these is the spacious master suite, with a king bed, a bathroom with a shower and a second bathroom with a designer bathtub, a corner of fragrant aromatic oils and a robe. The master also has two sea-view terraces with sofas, as well as a desk with a computer and internet access. Every room in this wing has satellite TV.
The left wing holds two air-conditioned double bedrooms with satellite TV, each with its own bathroom with a shower. Two further air-conditioned double rooms with satellite TV can be joined to form a single family room, and these share one bathroom with a shower. In total the villa has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two additional toilets.
The villa is fully air-conditioned and equipped with LCD satellite TVs, a DVD player, a computer, internet access and Wi-Fi, with a hairdryer in each bathroom. The kitchen has a stove, oven, range hood, refrigerator with ice maker, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, espresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, juicer, blender, mixer and wine cooler, along with kitchen utensils, cutlery and tea towels. There are also two grills, a wine cellar, a washing machine, a dryer, ironing equipment and a vacuum cleaner, while a baby cot and high chair are available for younger guests.
