Masseria San Giovanni is set in an enchanting landscape, surrounded by age-old olive trees, orangeries, vegetable gardens and Mediterranean flower shrubs. The Masseria dates back to 1600, and its architectural style represents the typical features of the fortified farms in the region. The property has been restored according to local tradition, with authentic materials and original details, and a goal to protect the farmhouse’s features, valued for their architectural history.

Onsite is also a humble church from the early 17th century known as Chiesa “Madonna della Madia” that served residents, workers and visitors to the Masseria. It was the place where agriculturalists gathered to pray and express gratitude, and today, the church serves as a place for festivities and meditation. 

The villa hosts 14 rooms, sleeping 28 guests, with 7 additional single beds upon request, totalling 35 guests. There are three Suites with a private terrace and outdoor jacuzzi, one Tower Suite with two bathrooms, one Suite with an internal jacuzzi on the ground floor and 10 Matrimonial Suites.

Spanning the property are charming areas where guests can relax, enjoy lunch or our ‘couture picnic’ under the shade of the trees, meditate in the fruit orchard, read a book in the nooks of the former stables, and swim in the saltwater pool that seamlessly integrates with the majestic landscape.

Masseria D'Itria is located in the fraction of Montalbano di Fasano, and on the historic Via Traiana, the ancient Roman route that once connected the Holy Land to Rome.
