Florence and Rome are within driving distance of the estate and Siena, Arezzo, Assisi, Gubbio two hours, Todi and Orvieto are all nearby. the regional capital of Perugia is only 20 minutes away and offers a wide range of cultural activities including the opera and the famous Umbria Jazz and Eurochocolate festivals.

Other spectacular hill towns include Cortona and Preggio, the latter with its annual classical music festival, as well as the annual Montone Film Festival, which attracts an international audience.
