On the eastern shore of Paros, in the village of Ampelas, this sea-front villa sits in deep quiet and welcomes up to 12 guests. Its position gives a strong sense of privacy, and its pared-back design, open sea views, relaxed chic decor and high-end fittings shape a house of understated luxury rather than display.
A small, scenic cove lies just below the property, inviting a swim in clear water, and the sandy beach at Ampelas is 850 metres away. The fishing village of Ampelas itself is 1 km from the villa, with fish tavernas, a picturesque harbour and that same sandy beach. For livelier evenings, Naoussa, the busiest hub on the island, is 4.5 km away and offers nightlife alongside a wide choice of shops, restaurants and cafes. Paros airport is 24 km from the house and the port of Parikia is 14 km away.
Outside, stone and wood tie the architecture to the surrounding landscape, and a calm settles in the moment you step onto the terraces. The 130 sqm infinity pool creates the illusion of a single sweep of water running towards the horizon and the Aegean. Around it are sunbeds, seating and lounge areas, a pool shower and a pool W.C. The pool bar, with stools, a fridge and a washing machine, is the natural stop after a swim, while a shaded dining area, a barbecue and an outdoor kitchen make long meals in the open air easy. A garden and many vantage points across the grounds give every guest a place to take in the view.
Inside, white dominates the modern interiors, warmed by wooden details that lend a gently rustic note. Oak ceiling beams, considered lighting and handcrafted decorative pieces raise the aesthetic, while designer furniture and fine cotton and linen fabrics blend with bright, clean surfaces to create a soothing atmosphere. The pool level opens through an entrance hall to the living room, which has a TV, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, pool and sea views and direct access to the terrace. This level also holds a fully equipped guest kitchen with air conditioning, a professional chef's kitchen and a guest W.C.
All six bedrooms have king-size beds, en suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and air conditioning. On the pool level, a 42 sqm double room has a bathroom with double vanity and access to a side terrace, and a 30 sqm double room opens onto a terrace with sea views. A 26 sqm guest house with its own entrance looks out over the garden and the sea and has side terrace access. The entire upper level is given over to the 65 sqm master bedroom, with a bathroom featuring double vanity, bathtub and shower, a TV, and a private terrace furnished with a sofa and two sunbeds facing the sea. Two detached guesthouses complete the accommodation, each with a private entrance, side terrace and garden access and sea views: one measures 30 sqm and the other 20 sqm. A laundry room sits on the lower level.
Comforts include WiFi, satellite and cable TV with screens in the living room and master bedroom plus one portable set, a washing machine and dryer, hairdryers, mosquito nets, a safe box, a security alarm, a power generator and parking. Baby cots and a highchair can be provided on request. Children are welcome, pets are allowed only on request, events may be considered on request, and smoking is not permitted indoors.
