Villa Gabbana is a 7-bedroom property on the La Marcellina 20-acre estate situated on a hill below the ancient hamlet of Panzano. La Marcellina is an exclusive estate consisting of three villas, that can be rented together or separately, each offering charming grounds, stunning views of the countryside, a pool and outdoor space to enjoy.
Access to the property is through two different and short, unpaved roads starting from the town. Located in the heart of Chianti, the estate is perfect for families or friends who want to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside in complete privacy. Two of the villas were built during the 16th and 17th centuries as farmhouses, while the third villa is a new addition.
Surrounded by greenery, the property has been masterfully restored while preserving the atmosphere of a traditional Tuscan residence. After four years of renovation, which was completed in 2018 and has involved a specialized architect, a construction company of local artisans, and a search for original materials from all over Italy, this property is now available for guests to fully enjoy. Moreover, during the restoration process, the owners have respected the environment with the use of clean energy sources like solar and geothermal energy. Please note that high hedgerows divide the outdoor spaces of the villas, while windows and gates are positioned to avoid any kind of privacy limitation.
With stunning views of the vineyards of the Chianti countryside, Villa Gabbana is about 850 meters from the village of Panzano and enjoys a privileged position between Florence and Siena. Offering a calm atmosphere, the residence can sleep 14 guests in 7 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
Surrounded by a lush Mediterranean garden with olive trees, the outdoor space features multiple terraces and original stones. Accessed from the main road through a private path, the villa boasts two pools: one small pool with Jacuzzi, and an infinity pool. On the lower level of the garden, you will find an outdoor kitchen complete with a barbecue and dining table for al fresco dining.
The villa features the typical façade of a Tuscan farmhouse with natural stone walls and a small turret on top, called Colombaia, that offers amazing 360-degree views of the surrounding Chianti countryside. With cosy corners and stylish furnishings, Villa Donne is spread over multiple levels and exudes a blend of period charm and modern comforts. The villa is named after the theme of paintings of women that you will find in some rooms and common areas.
The property also features a generous living room, two sitting rooms, a dining room, and a modern fully-equipped kitchen. There are different ways to access the villa: the main doorway can be considered the one on the second level. From the garden, you can access the main entrance hall, leading to two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (one with shower, one with bathtub).
On the right, you can access a generous, fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities you might need during your stay: seven burner cookers and a double oven, a large fridge, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, and an ice maker. A French door leads out onto a patio with a dining area with a table that can seat all guests of the villa. On the same level, you will also find the master bedroom, which features an exclusive free-standing Jacuzzi bathtub and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
A short flight of steps leads down to the lower level, where you will find an exclusive and panoramic indoor heated pool (on request, at an extra cost, the pool can be heated up to 30°C) complete with relaxing lights, a small bar, and a lounge room. On the same level, with independent access from the garden, you will find a comfortable double bedroom complete with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Access to the third level is from the garden and indoors through the steps.
On the third level, you will find a spacious living area divided into three large parts: two living areas are furnished with comfortable sofas and a fireplace, and the third one features a sofa, a table, and a small electric stove with a fridge for a quick snack. With French windows, the living room overlooks the garden and the surrounding valley. A fifth and a sixth bedroom can be found on this level. Each room features an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
From the entrance hall, a small flight of steps leads up to the fourth level, where you will find a cosy living room, and the turret, where you will find the seventh double bedroom complete with an en-suite bathroom with shower. Please note that some of the double bedrooms, on request, can be set as twin rooms.
