Villa Bianca stands in Vabriga, a small and restful village on the western coast of Istria, set between the sea and the river Mirna. The coast lies 2 km away, Poreč is 12 km distant and Rovinj is 49 km away. Vabriga is a place of calm, far from noise and crowds, yet the lively tourist centres of Poreč and Novigrad, with their cultural and culinary offerings and many summer events, are only about a ten-minute drive away. Everyday needs are close at hand, with restaurants some 500 m from the villa and shops around 850 m away.
As across all of Istria, the surroundings are shaped by a deep sense of tradition, a celebrated cuisine and a landscape of vineyards and olive groves that produce some of Europe's finest olive oils. For more animation, Poreč is one of the peninsula's best-known destinations, offering a rich historical heritage under UNESCO protection, landscaped beaches and marinas, traditional taverns and a spirited nightlife, everything needed for a complete summer holiday.
The villa occupies a 400 m2 plot, with 209 m2 of living space arranged over a ground floor and a first floor, crowned by a roof terrace. A private garden planted with a variety of plants and trees encloses the property and offers a high degree of privacy. Here the swimming pool is framed by a sun deck with deck chairs, sun loungers and sunshades, and an outdoor shower stands close by. A summer gazebo shelters a barbecue and an outdoor dining table for 10 people, an inviting setting for long meals in the company of family and friends.
Inside, the interiors are timeless and elegant, furnished with carefully chosen pieces in grey and beige tones. The entrance opens onto a space for receiving guests and a guest toilet. Beyond lies an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a handsome dining table, followed by a spacious living room with comfortable sofas and an LCD TV with satellite channels. Each of these rooms opens onto the pool terrace, drawing in generous daylight, and a glass door leads straight out to the water. Also at ground level, but set in a separate annex beside the main house, are two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and an en suite shower room.
An internal staircase rises to the first floor, where a lounge area with sofas makes a quiet corner for reading with a glass of good wine. This level holds two further bedrooms. One has a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub. The master bedroom also has a king-size bed and an en suite shower room, along with its own private terrace, which can also be reached by an external staircase. From here, internal stairs continue up to the roof terrace, which looks out over the whole village and is made for evening gatherings beneath the stars.
The villa is fully air-conditioned and offers free wireless internet, satellite TV, a safe, a washing machine, an iron with ironing board and a hairdryer. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, stove, dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, kettle, and a refrigerator with freezer, together with cutlery, dishes, glasses and tea towels. Pool towels, bathroom cosmetics and Mastro Raphael bed linen are provided, and private parking for two cars is available within the property, making Villa Bianca an easy base from which to step away from everyday life and enjoy the gentle rhythm of Istria.
