Set on the shores of Lake Álftavatn in South Iceland, this private lakefront villa is tucked among tall trees while still enjoying spectacular open views across the water. A south-facing patio makes the most of the setting, while guests have direct access to the lake and black-sand beach.
Inside, the villa has an open-plan living space with a TV, fireplace, dining area and kitchen, along with a small workspace with a desk. The cellar has a games room with a pool table, as well as access to a patio overlooking the lake.
There are four bedrooms. The first has a king-size bed (180cm) and an ensuite private WC. The second has a king-size bed (180cm) and a 140cm sleeper couch, while the third has two 80cm beds that can be arranged as a twin or double. The fourth bedroom has a queen-size bed (153cm) and an additional single bed (90cm).
The villa has two bathrooms with showers, plus the private ensuite WC. Outside, guests can relax in the hot tub or spend time beside the lake and beach, where there is also a private fire pit.
The host welcomes guests on arrival. Additional maid service can be arranged in advance for an extra charge.
