Horu Lodge is a stunning 220m² duplex residence in Zermatt, located just 100 metres from the Klein Matterhorn Express, with uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn and Höhbalmen. Set to be completed by the end of October 2025, this luxurious home has been designed by Studio Birk with interiors by Adelene Smith Ng, blending modern alpine architecture with a warm, personal finish.
The upper floor is a spacious and elegant open-plan living area with a hand-made birch wood kitchen, featuring V-Zug appliances, combi-oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and a wine fridge. A walnut Carl Hansen dining table seats 12 comfortably, while the lounge area is centred around a designer fireplace, with south-facing balconies, an OLED TV with sound bar, and Matterhorn views. The interiors include smoked oak herringbone flooring from Trunk, bespoke furnishings from Tom Faulkner and Pinch, and Love You Home sofas, creating a cosy and sophisticated atmosphere.
Four beautifully styled king-size bedrooms are spread across the two lower floors, each with Vi-Spring box-sprung beds that can be configured as super-kings or twins. Interiors include handmade birch wardrobes, Robert Langford bedside tables, natural wool carpets with underfloor heating, and Corston fittings. The master bathrooms are appointed with Val-stone floors, tadelakt walls, Cielo fittings, a bathtub, separate shower, and WC. Secondary bedrooms feature private bathrooms with walk-in showers.
Each level is accessible by a lift or an elegant oak spiral staircase. Guests also have access to a shared wellness area, including a swimming pool with swim jet, sauna, steam room, outdoor jacuzzi, fitness room, and a dedicated massage room offering a range of treatments including facials, massages, and nail care.
The central village is just an 8-minute walk, and additional suites – El Alamein and Gerwetsch – are located below the lodge, with the option to interconnect for larger groups. The Dufourspitz and Lyskamm Lodges, located across the lobby, provide further accommodation for 10 and 9 guests respectively.
