The Backstage Loft is a distinctive architectural gem, seamlessly blending the historic wooden charm of an original 700-year old Swiss chalet with contemporary alpine elegance. Created by acclaimed designer Heinz Julen, every fixture and piece of furniture is custom-made in his Zermatt studio, and the space is adorned with curated contemporary art from local galleries. This exceptional 600m² luxury retreat accommodates 10 guests in five double rooms, two of which are situated in the original structure, featuring the chalet's original historic wooden beams and rustic character. Nestled beside the river, the chalet offers unobstructed views of the Matterhorn and is only a short walk from the Klein Matterhorn lift and Zermatt's center.

The spacious, open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area features soaring floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with light, complemented by an inviting wood fire. Four large en-suite bedrooms are directly accessible from this central area, while the fifth master bedroom is encased in glass within a meticulously restored 700-year-old chalet section, combining architectural heritage with luxury.

Guests can unwind in the chalet’s private cinema or enjoy the indoor hot tub with a view, which, at the touch of a button, transforms into an outdoor oasis as the glass wall opens to bring in the breathtaking alpine panorama. The wellness area on the lower floor includes a sauna, hammam, fitness zone, and a well-equipped ski room. With an elevator and street-level access, the property is designed for convenience and ease of movement.
