Set on a private countryside estate near Cabrières-d'Avignon and Gordes, this carefully restored Provençal bastide pairs traditional stone architecture with refined contemporary interiors. Olive groves, landscaped gardens and views across the Luberon hills frame the property, while a caretaker couple lives in a separate house on the estate, beyond the courtyard, preserving guests' privacy.
Life centres on the generous stone courtyard, home to an 18 × 3 metre swimming pool suited to swimming lengths, with sun loungers, shaded seating and outdoor dining for 12. A fully equipped summer kitchen with plancha grill and ice machine sits alongside furnished terraces, shaded lawns, a pétanque court and table tennis. After dark, atmospheric lighting highlights the stone buildings, gardens and sculptures.
Indoors, an elegant lounge gathers around a wood-burning fireplace and a Bechstein piano. A fully equipped kitchen and indoor dining for 12 are complemented by a private cinema room, a billiards table and table football, with a Sonos sound system, underfloor heating and cooling on the ground floor, and high-speed fibre-optic Wi-Fi.
Six individually designed bedrooms are arranged across three floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, with selected suites featuring dressing rooms and luxurious bathtubs. Housekeeping is included Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 12pm, alongside end-of-stay cleaning, bed linen and towels.
Coustellet lies less than two minutes away by car and Gordes around ten, making the bastide a tranquil base for discovering the hilltop villages, markets, vineyards and restaurants of Provence.
