When to Visit
Ibiza enjoys a Mediterranean climate with around 300 days of sunshine a year, and July and August are the island's undisputed peak, with highs of 30°C to 31°C and sea temperatures near 26°C. This is the season for beach clubs at Cala Jondal and Es Jondal, charters to Formentera, sunset dining on the west coast and village fiestas such as Sant Ciriac on 8 August. The finest private villas in San Jose and Ibiza Town are typically reserved six to twelve months ahead.
For many, the best time to visit Ibiza is late May to mid-June or September, when the sea is warm and the roads and restaurants are calmer. Autumn brings grape and olive harvest lunches at inland estates, while spring suits hiking Sa Talaia and quiet coves around Santa Eulalia. Ibiza rewards visitors in every season.
