Palomino Retreat is a beautifully restored Icelandic farmhouse dating back to 1892, meticulously renovated in 2001, 2005, and 2015 to maintain its historical charm while integrating modern luxuries. 

Located in Iceland's scenic west, just a 20-minute drive from Borgarnes and 70 minutes from Reykjavík, this 420-square-meter estate is a secluded sanctuary on 300 hectares of private land, complete with breathtaking views spanning over 100 kilometers on clear days.

The retreat offers a unique blend of traditional and contemporary architecture, connecting the original stone farmhouse with new additions, including a spacious open-plan living area, a cozy fireplace, and a dining room that seats 18 guests.

Palomino Retreat’s accommodations feature five double bedrooms and four single rooms, each uniquely furnished with antique elements that echo 19th-century Icelandic farm life. These bedrooms are complemented by five bathrooms, two of which include bathtubs. The estate also boasts a “glass house” entertainment area with a Jacuzzi, making it ideal for relaxation and social gatherings.

For added convenience, the property is equipped with a fully outfitted kitchen, a commercial kitchen for an in-house chef, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and staff accommodations. Additional amenities include horse stables, helicopter access, and a private landing strip nearby.
