Stuckgowan
A remarkable 19th-century country Manor House with awe-inspiring views of Loch Lomond.
Steeped in history, Stuckgowan's origins trace back to before 1820, showcasing elegant lancet windows and arched doorways that pay homage to both Gothic and Norman architectural styles. Meticulously renovated, this remarkable estate offers breathtaking views of Loch Lomond and convenient accessibility from Glasgow airport where guests can opt for a scenic train ride from Balloch or Tarbet Stations.
With 9 bedrooms, including a unique 8ft circular bed in one room, a triple room, 2 double rooms with child's day beds, 3 further double bedrooms, and 2 twin rooms, Stuckgowan ensures comfortable and luxurious accommodations for all. The 6 bathrooms/shower rooms are equipped with exclusive Stuckgowan toiletries, and premium linens and towels are provided.
The cosy snug overlooks the gardens and Loch, featuring games, a TV, and a telescope for stargazing at night. The luxurious lounge with a log fire leads to the dining room, capable of comfortably hosting up to 20 guests. The spacious kitchen, complete with a breakfast bar and window seating area for 14, is perfect for hosting lavish breakfasts or late-night gatherings. It would be our pleasure to recommend local restaurants or assist in arranging a Chef to enhance your stay.
The entertainment level is designed to cater to guests of all ages, featuring a media cinema room for leisurely afternoons or keeping children entertained with a selection of films while you unwind. Additionally, there's a gym, a snooker table, a bar, and a host of thoughtful details to ensure a memorable and convenient stay.
The entertainment level leads to the side of the house, offering ample space for storing coats and Wellington boots. It also provides access to the undercover 7-seater hot tub.
Guests can indulge in a wealth of exciting activities around Loch Lomond, including cruises, water skiing, horse riding, seaplane tours, tree zone adventures, bike rentals, and canoe trips. Alternatively, there is the opportunity to explore the charming villages surrounding the Loch, visiting local cafes, restaurants, and a variety of shops.
